A multiplayer glitch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 results in the operator skins of four players merging in a pre-game lobby, creating an unusual-looking figure. Although the holiday-themed CODMAS event in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently concluded, the Zombies-inspired Vortex multiplayer mode is still active, introducing map reskins of Scrapyard, Rust, and Quarry.

Over the past four years, operator skins have become a significant component of Call of Duty‘s live service platform. Players can earn or purchase these skins and equip them for display in multiplayer matches. Call of Duty has embraced a wide range of crossovers from the film, gaming, and television realms, including collaborations with The Boys, Spawn, Diablo, Evil Dead, and more in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Notably, Modern Warfare 2 featured additions like Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage in celebration of 50 years of hip-hop last year.

In the case of Modern Warfare 3, a major crossover has already occurred with the upcoming film Dune: Part Two, incorporating characters such as Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides and Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen.

A glitch in the multiplayer lobby screen of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has resulted in a peculiar amalgamation of various operator skins. Shared on Reddit by forhead123, an image showcased an entity in a four-player multiplayer lobby formed by the combination of each player’s operator. With all four operators layered on top of one another, discerning the specific skins proves challenging. The most prominent one displays attire reminiscent of an ancient Roman warrior, adorned with purple-eyed hound heads on its shoulders. Judging by the silver legs of this peculiar amalgam, it appears that one of these operators hails from Modern Warfare 3’s Vault Edition, likely Warden, as indicated by a portion of her tactical helmet visible on the figure’s head.

The steep costs associated with Call of Duty‘s operator bundles have frequently faced criticism within the community over the past few years. Responding to forhead123’s Reddit post, one commenter humorously suggested that this peculiar operator amalgamation should be dubbed “The Monstrosity” and priced at 2800 COD Points in the in-game store. Another comment drew parallels between the aberration and Bloodhound from Apex Legends, noting the resemblance in the figure’s gas mask and a round halo over its head, reminiscent of Bloodhound’s iconic mask and headpiece.

While this particular multiplayer menu bug doesn’t appear to be a widespread or common issue, it seems more likely to occur with parties of multiple players. As the Vortex mode in Modern Warfare 3 concludes on January 17, players will undoubtedly turn their attention to what Season 2 holds for the game throughout the remainder of the winter.
